Choosing a network
Six networks with different trust, speed and pricing — all on the same gateway.
Every network is selected with the net option, so you can mix them freely and route each kind of request to the cheapest network that passes.
| Network | Option | Best for | Billed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Residential | net-residential | Strict targets, broad geo coverage | Per GB |
| ISP | net-isp | Long logged-in sessions | Per IP |
| Mobile | net-mobile | Platforms that only trust phones | Per GB |
| Datacenter | net-datacenter | Speed and volume on open sites | Per IP |
| Unlimited Residential | net-unlimited | Steady, high-volume residential traffic | Per day |
| IPv6 | net-ipv6 | IPv6-capable targets at high concurrency | Per GB |
#A simple way to decide
- Try datacenter first. If your target serves clean pages to it, there's no reason to pay for more trust.
- Blocked or challenged? Move that target to residential.
- Need the same identity for hours or days? Use ISP.
- App APIs or social platforms? Use mobile.
- Moving hundreds of GB a month through residential? Compare against Unlimited.
Tip
Compare networks on cost per successful page, not cost per GB. A cheap request that fails twice costs more than a residential one that works first time.
#Defaults
With no net option, requests use your account's default network — residential unless you change it in Dashboard → Settings.
